Cherry Italian Cream Soda

Empty entire jar of cherries and cherry juice into a blender.  Be sure to remove any stems.  Add sugar and blend well until mixture is thin and uniform in texture.  Refrigerate for at least 3 hours until the syrup has thickened and chilled.  

To make soda add ice cubes to each glass.  Then, measure 1/2 cup of cherry lemon lime soda and pour into each glass.  If you have large/tall glasses, you can double all of the ingredients.  Next, add about 1-2 tablespoons of the homemade cherry syrup to each glass.  After that, top with 1-2 tablespoons half & half, add whipped cream and a cherry on top.

The sodas look super pretty layered but add a straw and encourage everyone to give them a stir before drinking.
